# Thinking Prompt Input

> Thinking AI Prompt Input for React and Tailwind CSS (shadcn/ui) pairs a persistent composer with a conversation transcript and a shimmering thinking status. It is built to keep users informed while an assistant works and keep their next question within reach. Includes an upward question-bubble transition, a Think toggle, Stop control, collapsible progress steps, elapsed time, and a streaming answer above the composer. Controlled status, steps, answer, and callbacks connect to your own backend. Supports keyboard input, IME composition, sentence-level live announcements, reduced motion, automatic transcript scrolling, and light and dark themes. Use it for AI chat, support assistants, and knowledge search. The included demo simulates an illustrative itinerary; the component makes no requests and runs no automatic simulation. Requires React and lucide-react, with no animation library.
