A scroll-controlled journey from a real street into another world, built with React 19, TypeScript, Vite and three.js. In "The mirror", a gilded looking glass on a Venice quay wakes up at sunrise and shows a garden in Nagoya; scroll and you step through the glass. The mirror is a real 3D object standing inside a 360-degree photograph, with true portal rendering (the other world is rendered live through the glass), image-based lighting, a dimension-shift post effect at the crossing, look-around with inertia once you arrive, and procedural sound that stays off until you turn it on. Wheel, touch and keyboard all scrub the journey, and reduced motion swaps the travel for a crossfade. Panoramas are real places from Poly Haven (CC0). Part of Threshold, a set of 76 portal experiences by Neebarp.
