21st now has membership.
For most of you, nothing changes.
Every signed-in user still gets 2 free component copies every day. That stays free. Browsing the marketplace, previewing components, searching, discovering new work, and getting inspired all stay completely open.
Membership is only for people who hit the daily limit, or for people who want to support 21st.
Why we are doing this
21st exists to make it easier to find UI components that are actually good.
Not random snippets. Not low-effort generated screens. Not the same AI slop design repeated across every product.
We want 21st to stay curated, useful, and opinionated. That takes real work: reviewing submissions, keeping the quality bar high, improving discovery, supporting creators, and building the tools around the marketplace.
So we are introducing membership.
Not to close the doors. Not to turn 21st into a paywalled library. But to let the people who get the most value from 21st help keep it going for everyone.
What stays free
For about 95% of users, nothing changes.
You still get:

- free access to the marketplace as a source of inspiration
If 2 components a day is enough for you, you can keep using 21st exactly like before.
What membership gives you
Membership is for heavier users and supporters.
It unlocks the full marketplace experience: unlimited component copies, prompts, code, demos, and CLI installs.
There are two individual variants built around the way you work.
Builder is $8 a month billed quarterly, or $6 a month billed yearly, with no AI features or monthly AI credits. Builder + AI lets you choose 500, 1,000, or 2,000 monthly credits; totals start at $20 a month billed quarterly or $15 a month billed yearly and add multi-model component generation and premium AI models. There are no per-component fees, and you can cancel anytime.
Where the money goes
Membership helps us pay for the work behind the marketplace:
- keeping the quality bar high
- reviewing and moderating components
- supporting the team
- improving discovery
- building better tools for creators and builders
The goal is not to make 21st less open.
The goal is to make sure 21st can stay open, curated, and useful for a long time.
